WifiAlive is another application aimed at keeping your Wifi connection up. Every 5 seconds, WifiAlive tries to contact your gateway, as well as IP addresses or domain names, you can provide via the user interface. If one of these tests succeeds, Wifi is considered working. If all tests fail, Wifi is reset, that is deactivated and activated again. Android will take care of re-establishing the connection, if possible. It is low resource and applicable for business, as well as home users, who need a permanent connection, whenever possible. WifiAlive is very simple, if compared to other such applications with thousands of lines of code. Might be the reason, it works. :)
